2016 results: Just a taste of how some GCSE students got on;

Clever Clogs has had a fantastic year due to all the dedicated hard work and support delivered by staff, students and all parents and we are very proud of the recent GCSE and A-level results received by students. Thank you to all of our parents and students for endorsing us by providing many testimonials. These wonderful  achievements by both our primary and secondary students make my job  so worthwhile and reiterates why I love teaching at Cleverclogs Tuition Centre.

The results are based on students who have attended Cleverclogs for more than 8 weeks and have had an average of one/two lessons per week per subject.

KS1: 98% achieved the average required level 2 in numeracy & literacy. We had some students who also achieved an above average level of 3 in maths. This will be last year where primary students are measured using levels.

KS2 : Another year with 100% achieving  level 4  in numeracy and literacy.  Of which 38% of students achieved above average Level 5 in their Maths and Literacy.  This year 6 out of 10 students achieved the Level 6 in Maths. 2 out of 7 gained level 6 in the new SPAG test (spelling punctu

GCSE’s; 97% gained grade C or Higher in Maths, Sciences and English .

Maths and further Maths :  29% gained A* or A

English: 32% gained A* or A

Sciences: 43% gained A* or A

A2 Levels; A lot harder this year, but we had some very dedicated students. our tutors were working around the clock, answering many test questions with students via email.95% achieved Grade C and above in Maths, Chemistry and Biology Physics

11+  Entrance Exam. 99% of students who took the entrance exam for St josephs passed

KS1: 99% achieved the average required level 2 in numeracy & literacy

KS2 : Another year with 100% achieving  level 4  in numeracy and literacy.  We also had some exceptional students who achieved above average Level 5 in their Maths and Literacy.  This year 5 out of 8 students achieved the Level 6 in Maths and 3 out of 8 gained a Level 6 in Literacy.

GCSE’s; 98% gained grade C or Higher in Maths, Sciences and English .

Maths:  21% gained A* or A

English: 27% gained A* or A

Sciences: 17% gained A* or A

AS Levels: 92% gained Grade C or above in their chosen subject

A2 Levels;97% achieved Grade C and above in Maths, Chemistry and Biology

11+  Entrance Exam. Another successful year of all students who took the entrance exam for St josephs passing.

99% of  students passed the Newcastle under Lyme test.

Results in 2013 for KS2 SATs, GCSEs and AS/A2

Our performance this year is as follows:

KS1: 96% achieved the average required level 2 in numeracy & literacy

KS2 : 100% achieved average required  level 4 or above in numeracy and literacy.  We also had some exceptional students who achieved above average Level 5 in their Maths and Literacy

Years 9 and 10:  93% students passed with grade C is module Sciences and Maths

GCSE’s; 96% gained grade C or higher in Maths/Sciences and English  56 % achieved the minimum Grade C in either maths/sciences and English.  24% achieved Grade B. 11% Grade A and 5% A*.

AS Levels: 94% gained Grade C or above in their chosen subject                                                      A2 Levels; 98% achieved Grade C and above in Maths, Chemistry and Biology

11+  Entrance Exam. We have had a 100% Pass Rate for the previous five years (latest results in October 2013) of students taking the entrance exam for St’Josephs College and we hope to have the same success this year when results will be out in October

A special well done to :

Tom Cleverley who came to us with a Grade D in Maths 4 weeks before his exam and achieved his Grade C!!                                                                           

Sophia who got her A in A level Chemistry! Now off to study Maths at Leeds University!
